The first Annual Africa Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare, organized by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) will be held in Durban South Africa on 19-21 February 2018.

Featuring presenters from throughout Africa and across the globe, this conference has been specifically designed to address the unique challenges faced by the health care community living and working in Africa. This conference is for individuals working in both the private AND public health care sectors. You will learn from innovative quality improvement initiatives that have improved health outcomes in Africa, and have the opportunity to extensively network with your peers to share successes and challenges.

There is still time to submit abstracts that demonstrate results in the following areas: Improvement Capability, Measurement, Leadership, Maternal & Newborn Health, Person-Centered Care, Infectious Disease Prevention (HIV, TB, Malaria, etc.).

The deadline for submissions is Friday, August 18 at 5 PM ET. IHI will review the submission and inform you about its acceptance by Friday, August 25. Read more on guidance for submitting abstracts, and criteria for reviewing them.
