Goal: Contribute to the improvement of the health status of the population through the implementation of the Strategic Plan for Reproductive Health.

Mali received support through an RMNCH Country Engagement Process and focuses its efforts on reproductive rights. The country team aimed to increase access to and availability of reproductive rights services across the country. It has put in place new SONUB structures, created new PMCT sites and advocated for free newborn care after a c-section.

The team is also working to increase demand for reproductive rights services, and is disseminating information about the commitments Mali has made to fight harmful practices for women’s heath and gender-based violence.

The Ministry of Health and its partners are also using this support to improve the quality of reproductive rights services.
